Bodylastics Resistance Bands – My Personal Review Of Bodylastics Resistance Bands

My journey to discovering and buying a set of Bodylastics resistance bands started with an infomercial for the P90x extreme home fitness program. I wanted to get into amazing shape, so I ordered it to see if it really worked.

I needed something for the weightlifting part in P90x, so my options were to get dumbbells or exercise bands. I was looking for something that would be in my price range, so I decided to go with bands. I needed ones that could give me a wide array of tensions, be affordable of course, and last a long time. Online searching led me to Bodylastics.

I’ve owned my set of exercise bands for two years, so I’ve had a lot of time to use them and test them out. Below you can read my review.

In the package I bought there were four different latex bands that each had different weights. There was a 5, 7, 13, and 19 pound band, as well as a door anchor, two handles, and two ankle straps. The bands have carabiner clips attached to them so they can easily clip on to the handles. You can use any combination of bands. This makes it possible to create a variety of resistance levels, anywhere from 5 to 44 pounds each handle.

Because they are made out of natural latex, I was concerned about how long they would last with regular use. I’ve owned ones made by different companies that broke within a week. I’m happy to report that after two years, and many workouts, nothing has broken or snapped. They seem quite durable and well made. And, if a part was to break, I am comforted knowing that they came with a lifetime warranty. All that I would need to do to have a replacement sent to me is contact Bodylastics, and pay $5.95 for the replacement cost.

Probably my favorite part about them is the fact that there are tons and tons of different exercises you can do. The door anchor, and even the ankle straps open up a lot of different exercises. Lots of variety makes them interesting and fun to use.
